To understand why the public bought into claims of leaked text threads, one must look at Earle's business ties to Alex Cooper, creator of the Call Her Daddy empire. In August 2023, Cooper launched The Unwell Network, signing Earle as her premier talent to host Hot Mess. The partnership represented a major corporate alliance in the creator economy, uniting two generational podcast figures under one production umbrella.
By early 2026, audience observers noticed visible distance between the two creators. Earle had ceased routinely tagging Unwell handles, and reciprocal promotion between Call Her Daddy and Hot Mess dropped noticeably. When unverified screenshots alleged that Earle felt micromanaged and undercompensated relative to the network's sponsorship earnings, the gossip community seized on them as verified evidence of a split.
The rumor gained more traction following public remarks by fellow podcaster Brianna "Chickenfry" LaPaglia. During casual stream appearances and social discussions, LaPaglia brought up "mean girl" dynamics within top-tier influencer circles. Even without naming Earle or Cooper directly, online audiences connected the dots and framed the comments as proof of private drama leaking from the Unwell camp.
