Building on the reset initiated in 2024, the fifth film solidifies the partnership between Kylie Cantrall's Red, daughter of the tyrannical Queen of Hearts, and Malia Baker's Chloe Charming, daughter of Cinderella and King Charming. Their dynamic anchors the narrative spine of the production, moving from the uneasy alliance forged during their time-traveling escapades into a full-fledged collaborative leadership test.
| Actor / Performer | Character | Franchise Role & Lineage |
|---|---|---|
| Kylie Cantrall | Red | Daughter of the Queen of Hearts; lead rebel protagonist |
| Malia Baker | Chloe Charming | Daughter of Cinderella and King Charming; royal tactician |
| Awkwafina | Chessy the Cat | Voice role; shape-shifting, riddle-telling guide of Wonderland |
| Rita Ora | Queen of Hearts | Ruler of Wonderland; authoritarian monarch undergoing reform |
| China Anne McClain | Uma | Daughter of Ursula; Principal of Auradon Prep |
| Dara Reneé | Ulyana | Teen sister of Ursula; returning villainous adversary |
China Anne McClain reprises her defining role as Uma, retaining her post as the authoritative principal of Auradon Prep. McClain's ongoing involvement provides emotional glue for long-term fans who have tracked the series since 2017's Descendants 2. Dara Reneé returns to bring theatrical menace as Ulyana, establishing a sustained antagonistic presence that prevents the new setting from descending into purely benign teen drama.
