Jaafar was born on July 25, 1996, in Los Angeles to Jermaine Jackson and Alejandra Genevieve Oaziaza. Four years later, on October 7, 2000, Alejandra gave birth to Jermajesty Jackson. The two boys grew up as the sole children born to that specific marriage, forging an inseparable partnership early in life.
Their youth unfolded primarily inside the historic Hayvenhurst family compound in Encino, California. Under the care of their mother and grandmother Katherine Jackson, both boys gravitated toward music production and choreography. Jaafar began singing and playing piano at age 12, frequently recording unreleased R&B tracks alongside Jermajesty. While Jaafar chose the camera and stage lights, Jermajesty opted to remain largely behind the soundboard, contributing production ideas and creative critique to his brother's rehearsal tapes during prep for the biopic.
