One primary reason audiences initially mistook the animation for an official leak was its voice acting. In early 2022, Kokushibo, Doma, and Gyokko had barely spoken in the anime series. So how did illuxxtrandy achieve studio-accurate Japanese dialogue?
The creator turned to commercial spinoff media. CyberConnect2's video game *Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, The Hinokami Chronicles* (released in October 2021) featured extensive voice banks from Japan’s premier voice actors, including Akira Ishida (Akaza) and Mamoru Miyano (Doma). Combining those lines with voice drama tracks, fighting game banter, and custom sound design, illuxxtrandy stitched together a coherent dialogue track.
The sound design added another layer of polish. Echoing biwa strums, the creak of timber shifting within the Infinity Castle, and sudden low-frequency rumbles sold the illusion that the scene was recorded in an expensive dubbing booth.
