Q1: Why did Kaitlin Becker stop playing Meekah exclusively?
A1: Moonbug Entertainment operates its major brands using a multi-actor franchise model. Just as the company introduced alternate actors to play Blippi for stage tours and spin-off content, they expanded the casting pool for Meekah to scale video output. Becker gradually phased out full-time shooting to pursue other stage, vocal, and screen projects.
Q2: What was Kaitlin Becker’s first major television role?
A2: Becker’s breakout television role was serving as the primary live host on PBS Kids Sprout’s The Sunny Side Up Show, where she performed from 2013 until 2017 alongside the puppet character Chica the Chicken.
Q3: Does Kaitlin Becker have formal theater training?
A3: Yes. Becker holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre from Northern Kentucky University and worked extensively as a musical theater actress in regional touring companies before transitioning to children’s television.
