Q1: What exact time do SAT scores release on Friday morning?
The first major tranche publishes at roughly 7:00 AM ET (4:00 AM PT). Releases continue in rolling waves throughout the day, finishing by 8:00 PM ET.
Q2: Does taking the Digital SAT make scores post faster than paper tests?
Yes. Digital SAT scores post within 13 to 14 days for standard Saturday weekend testing dates. Under the older paper format, turnaround times routinely took three to five weeks.
Q3: Why does my College Board dashboard say "Score Pending"?
A "Score Pending" status is standard operational staging. It means your file is verified and waiting in line for the afternoon distribution batch, not that your exam is lost or compromised.
Q4: Do college admissions offices receive scores at the same time I do?
No. Universities receive scores through electronic data transmissions sent roughly 10 days after online publishing. Campuses then require additional internal processing time to link the numbers to individual application portals.
