On March 31, 2015, the Warriors visited the Los Angeles Clippers at Staples Center. Golden State held the league's top record, yet the Warriors vs Clippers rivalry still crackled with bad blood leftover from their seven-game 2014 playoff clash. Late in the second quarter, Curry drove right, hit the brakes along the baseline, and snapped a wicked behind-the-back crossover. Paul stepped on Curry's foot, lost his balance, and collapsed awkwardly near the paint before Curry sank a baseline jumper.
The sequence instantly detonated on social media. Vine loops played the stumble on repeat, racking up millions of views before the third quarter even began. Within an hour, sports feeds transformed into high-velocity Photoshop workshops. Paul was edited onto a Twister board, placed into a sleeping bag beneath the stars, photoshopped onto a dance floor doing the limbo, and drawn plummeting into the Grand Canyon. It was the absolute apex of the CP3 falling meme, marking a moment where live-game action transitioned into instant collaborative comedy.
