Set up over a white towel or silicone mat to keep runaway pins from rolling onto the floor. Release the clasp completely to allow the bracelet to lay flat across your surface.
Locate the stamped arrows on the underside of the removable links. Seat the bracelet edge into the appropriate slot of the watchmaker bench block with the arrows pointing directly down toward your table. Position the 0.8mm pin pusher punch squarely over the solid circular tip of the split pin.
Tap the punch lightly using the nylon side of your small jewelers hammer. Three or four controlled taps should push the pin out through the bottom slot by roughly a quarter of an inch. Pull the pin punch back out, turn the bracelet over, and withdraw the split pin with your fingers or smooth plastic-jawed pliers. Notice the shape: one end is solid and rounded, while the other features an open, flared split. Set this pin aside safely.
Repeat the identical sequence on the adjacent link you plan to subtract. Once the spare link falls free, bring the open bracelet ends together. Reassembly runs in exact reverse: insert the split pin with the round, solid tip entering first, moving opposite the arrow's stamped direction. Tap the flared end gently until the pin head rests flush with the bracelet flank.
