Q1: Did Marvel or Sony ever officially endorse the meme?
A1: No. While social media managers at Sony occasionally lean into lighthearted fan engagement, neither studio has ever officially referenced the moniker in film marketing or on-screen canon. The joke remains purely audience-generated.
Q2: Where did the original photo of Jacob Batalon come from?
A2: The image is a standard red-carpet press portrait taken during promotional events around the release cycle of the earlier MCU Spider-Man films, showing Batalon in a tailored suit against a studio backdrop.
Q3: Is the meme still active in 2026?
A3: Yes. While the hyperactive peak of fake "Sex 2" trailer drops has cooled, the moniker functions as permanent internet shorthand. Whenever Batalon lands a new project or makes a public appearance, the nickname resurfaces instantly across comment sections.
