Wondering about Who Created the Smiling Fire Dog Meme? Unpacking 'This Is Fine' Lore? Discover key insights here.

Q1: What is the official name of the dog in the 'This is Fine' meme?
The character is officially named Question Hound. He was created by cartoonist KC Green as a regular protagonist across multiple strips in his webcomic, Gunshow.

Q2: When was the original comic first published?
The strip, titled "On Fire," was originally published on January 9, 2013, as entry #648 on the Gunshow website.

Q3: Does KC Green make money from the meme's viral success?
While unauthorized digital usage produces zero revenue, Green monetizes Question Hound through official merchandise, successful Kickstarter campaigns for licensed plush toys, and creative partnerships with networks like Adult Swim.

Q4: Did KC Green ever draw a sequel to the meme?
Yes. In August 2016, Green illustrated an official follow-up titled "This is Not Fine" for The Nib, in which Question Hound snaps out of his stupor, panics about the flames, and frantically uses a fire extinguisher to put them out.
