The release of "Another Late Night" on October 6, 2023, instantly generated millions of streams and hundreds of reaction videos. Yachty's line arrived midway through his verse, rhymed casually against a bouncy, nocturnal beat produced by BBYKOBE and 40. For online audiences, the explicit mention of an artist who had spent years guarding her body from public evaluation felt jarring.
Commentators on YouTube and culture forums split into distinct camps. Critics argued that reducing one of the most decorated young songwriters of her generation to an anatomical punchline exemplified casual misogyny in modern rap. Supporters claimed the bar was homage, comparing it to classic pop-culture name-drops that have populated rap records for four decades. The track climbed the Billboard charts, racking up tens of millions of streams in its first month, while speculation swirled over whether Drake and Yachty had crossed a line.
