The Mines floors 40 to 79 generate their monster spawns the moment a floor loads. If a player slowly treks downward through ladders, breaking stones on every tier, they lose precious in-game hours on empty layouts. The elevator farming method circumvents this problem entirely by exploiting the mine's floor reset technique.
The technique relies on a fundamental game engine rule: leaving the mine via ladder to floor 0 immediately wipes and re-rolls every regular floor. Rather than descending 40 floors manually, runners cycle between elevator stops ending in five: floors 45, 55, and 65.
Floor 55 and floor 65 feature compact, circular cavern layouts far more frequently than lower levels. Step off the elevator. Scan the screen immediately. If chirping sounds trigger or black clusters bounce in your line of sight, swing your blade, clean out the cluster, and jump straight back to the elevator. If the floor is empty or requires a long winding path around cliffs, ignore it. Ride the elevator back to floor 0, step through the entrance, and repeat the cycle. This routine eliminates dead travel time and isolates high-density packs.
