The story of Rose. Rabbit. Lie. carries an unusual twist of corporate reconciliation. When Spiegelworld walked away from the production in 2014, the split was contentious. Casino leadership had poured massive capital into custom stage architecture, while the creative troupe felt constrained by traditional corporate casino dynamics.
Yet, The Cosmopolitan preserved the room’s creative spark. The property ran the operation independently for another six years, refining dishes like the whole roasted King Crab and the chocolate terrarium dessert, proving that the space could flourish on culinary merit accompanied by world-class lounge bands. When the pandemic hit in March 2020, bringing room closures across Nevada, the economic model became unsustainable. The room closed for good in January 2021.
Later that year, The Cosmopolitan welcomed back Spiegelworld. The creative troupe reclaimed the physical footprint to launch Superfrico, an "Italian-American psychedelic" restaurant flanked by the OPM theater (later transformed into the Hook/Disco Show network). Spiegelworld had matured into an operational powerhouse, and the property was ready to embrace full-tilt theatrical chaos once again. Superfrico carries forward the spirit of the space, but the original Rose. Rabbit. Lie. brand retains a mythic, velvet-draped nostalgia that this tribute preserves.
